CareThread is designed with privacy at its core. Your child’s data is stored entirely on your device and is never sold, shared with advertisers, or used to train AI models.

1. What We Collect

CareThread stores the following information, all of which remains on your device:

• Daily notes you type or paste (daycare sheets, morning notes, evening notes)
• Photos you choose to upload for daycare sheet analysis
• Health status entries (e.g. healthy, sick, off day)
• Sleep times, meal notes, and other daily observations
• AI-generated summaries and reports based on your entries
• App settings and preferences

We do not collect your name, email address, or any account information. No sign-up is required to use CareThread.

2. How Your Data Is Stored

All data is stored locally on your iPhone using Apple’s SwiftData framework. Data is protected by your device’s built-in encryption and, optionally, Face ID or Touch ID.

CareThread does not operate its own servers or databases. We do not have access to anything stored on your device.

3. AI Analysis — What Leaves Your Device

When you tap “Log This Day” or generate a weekly or monthly report, CareThread sends the text or image content of that entry to an AI analysis service to produce structured summaries.
